This three hour comprehensive course is for those interested in pursuing commercial poultry production. Participants will learn about the stages of life, nutritional and housing needs of each stage, how to clip wings, health and disease management, layer production management, summer vs winter equipment, mobile coop designs, record keeping, molting management, Oregon Direct Marketing Law, Egg Handler license requirements and Oregon Department of Agriculture egg washing requirements. This class will combine with Rogue Farm Corps apprentices and OSU participants. Limited space!
